3M Film Lineup
Common 3M Automotive Options
Color Stable IR
Color Stable IR is a strong entry-level 3M film option with solid performance and color stability. It is a practical choice for customers who want a cleaner look, UV protection, and a noticeable improvement over basic tint. Heat reduction is commonly explained around 40% to 45%, depending on shade and application.
Ceramic IR
Ceramic IR uses advanced ceramic technology for strong infrared heat rejection without signal interference. It is often the best balance of performance and value for customers who want better comfort, improved heat rejection, and a premium upgrade. Heat reduction is commonly explained around 55% to 65%, depending on shade and application.
Crystalline
Crystalline is a top-tier 3M automotive film option designed for maximum heat rejection, even in very light shades. It is ideal for customers who want strong performance while keeping a lighter, cleaner appearance. Heat reduction is commonly explained around 70% to 80%, depending on shade and application.
Customer Guidance
How We Explain 3M Film Performance
We keep the conversation simple. The darker you go, the more heat you typically reject. But with 3M Crystalline, customers can stay very light and still block a significant amount of heat.
Color Stable IR is a great budget-friendly upgrade over basic dyed films. Ceramic IR is the best balance of performance and value for many customers. Crystalline is the top-tier choice for customers who want maximum heat rejection, especially on windshields or vehicles where a lighter appearance is preferred.
Our team can walk you through the differences before installation so you feel confident choosing a 3M film that fits your vehicle, budget, and comfort goals.

After Installation
What to Expect After Tinting
A clean tint installation still needs time to fully dry and cure. After your appointment, our team will explain what to expect so you do not mistake normal curing for a problem.
Keep Windows Closed for 3 Days
Avoid rolling your windows down for the first 72 hours to allow proper adhesion.
Allow 2 Weeks for Full Curing
Temporary haziness, water pockets, bubbles, or a slightly cloudy look can be normal during the curing period.
Avoid Ammonia-Based Cleaners
Use ammonia-free glass cleaners when cleaning the inside of your tinted windows.
Contact Us After Curing if Needed
If anything remains after the curing period, contact our team and we will help take care of it.
